• The History of Carnegie Libraries

Large Meeting Room (top floor) 104 E Washington St, Lebanon, IN, United States

Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of thousands of public libraries around the world, over 160 of which were in Indiana--the most in any individual state.  Local History Librarian Eric Spall will talk about the Carnegie libraries of Indiana with a special emphasis on the origins of Boone County's two Carnegie libraries in Lebanon and Thorntown.
