We are introducing Paws to Read at the library! This program is perfect for reluctant readers who are needing to build their confidence and reading skills through practice. And what better way to do that than to read to our furry friend, Groban! This therapy dog will listen to your child read for 15 minutes, and his fluffy ears will love whatever your child wants to read! So sign up for a time slot and bring a book!
According to Paws & Think, “Research shows that therapy dogs can help to reduce anxiety as well as improve focus and attention span. Therapy dogs serve as a calm presence and allow children to work to improve literacy, comprehension, and communication with a nonjudgmental listener.”
