Join us on June 19th at 6pm for an exciting virtual visit with acclaimed author William Kent Krueger. This event is part of our “Adventure Begins at Your Library” Summer Reading program at the Lebanon Public Library. You will have a unique opportunity to hear Krueger discuss all of his captivating books. Afterward, there will be a live Q&A session. You can bring any questions you may have and ask him directly.

About William Kent Krueger

William Kent Krueger is renowned for his riveting mystery series set in the picturesque north woods of Minnesota. His series features Cork O’Connor, the former sheriff of Tamarack County. Cork is a character rich in cultural heritage, being part Irish and part Ojibwe. Krueger’s novels are celebrated for their intricate plots and deep character development. The vivid depiction of the Minnesota landscape in his books makes them a perfect fit for our adventure-themed summer reading program.

Awards and Accomplishments

Krueger has received numerous awards for his work. These include the Minnesota Book Award, the Loft-McKnight Fiction Award, the Anthony Award, the Barry Award, the Dilys Award, and the Friends of American Writers Prize. His stand-alone novel, “Ordinary Grace,” published in 2013, won the prestigious Edgar Award for the best novel. Its companion novel, “This Tender Land,” published in 2019, also enjoyed significant acclaim. It spent nearly six months on the New York Times bestseller list.
