The History of Carnegie Libraries

Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of thousands of public libraries around the world, over 160 of which were in Indiana–the most in any individual state.  Local History Librarian Eric Spall will talk about the Carnegie libraries of Indiana with a special emphasis on the origins of Boone County’s two Carnegie libraries in Lebanon and Thorntown.
